Pierogi Island, located in the heart of Staten Island, is a culinary gem that celebrates authentic Polish cuisine. Reviewers consistently rave about the homemade taste and generous portions that define this restaurant's offerings. Laura Nedzelskiy praised the soft and flavorful pierogis, particularly enjoyed with sour cream, while the hearty cabbage stew and stuffed cabbage added a comforting touch, reminiscent of home cooking.
The ambiance is charming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. Far K appreciated the cozy interior and highlighted the borscht, which expertly balanced sweet and savory notes. The cheese and potato pierogies gave her a satisfying experience despite the limited meat options available during her visit.
Returning customers like Victoria affirm the restaurant's consistency, emphasizing that every dish is a hit, while Loriann Maresca found the Ukrainian borscht simply addictive, echoing sentiments of culinary nostalgia.
From plate to palate, Pierogi Island envelops diners in warmth and tradition. As Julia Kawalec expressed, the experience at Pierogi Island not only satiates hunger but also evokes cherished memories of homemade Polish meals. For anyone craving authentic Polish dishes, this restaurant is a must-visit destination.

The pierogis were soft, tasty, and fresh, especially with sour cream. The cabbage stew and stuffed cabbage were delicious and filling. Everything tasted homemade. I’d definitely eat here again!

A few weeks back, we were in Staten Island visiting my boyfriend's family and decided to pop into Pierogi Island for a quick dinner. First off, the inside is cute! Since it was so windy, I went straight for the borscht. It was just what I needed! It had that perfect balance of sweet and savory, with just a tiny bit of tang. We also got some cheese and potato pierogies with their garlic sauce, and they were really tasty and definitely filling! I was bummed I couldn't try more, as a lot of the meat options were pork-based, and I was hoping to try their stuffed cabbage. But honestly, the pierogies alone were worth it. Overall, I'd totally recommend Pierogi Island. The service was fast and polite, and the prices were great. If you're craving pierogies, definitely check them out!

Been here a few times now, always a great experience. The food is absolutely delicious. They have great lunch specials as well. I highly recommend the Ukrainian borscht. It was addicting and I cleaned my bowl.

Pierogi Island is a place that amazed me from the very beginning. My husband ordered the Polish Platter, and it absolutely met his expectations. I order Zapiekanka and was not disappointed either. The food is fresh, the portions are large, and most importantly, very tasty! The beautiful rustic interior and friendly service complete the experience. As a Polish woman, this restaurant took me back to my childhood and homemade Polish food. I recommend Pierogi Island to everyone who wants to taste authentic homemade Polish dishes. I will definitely be back.

The food was delicious. Would especially recommend the polish platter with Kielbasa and Hunters Stew. Borscht was great too. Will definitely be back. Also a benefit that it’s conveniently located only a short walk from the SIR Great Kills train station

This is a welcome addition to the food scene in the business development area of Great Kills. The shop is open and bright, but cozy and the staff are attentive and quick. The food is also very authentic and you can also speak Polish with the waitresses. The stuffed cabbage is highly recommended along with any of the pierogies, as it is full of flavor and the cabbage is deliciously tender yet pliable.

We enjoyed the delicious pierogi's and the polish platter here. The food is delicious and their homemade garlic sauce is a must try with any dish! The inside is decorated well and very clean, and service was good. My husband and I love Ukrainian food and usually have to go to Brooklyn or Manhattan so we are so excited we have a place to go in SI. Can't wait to go back and try more food!
